BUSINESS TIP: PICK YOUR TAX NICHE

Trying to market to everybody can make it harder for anybody to recognize that you’re the tax professional for them. You can prepare different types of returns and still have a specific audience you focus your marketing on.

Think about who you actually want more of:

• Small business owners
• Self employed professionals
• Truck drivers
• Beauty professionals
• Real estate professionals
• Families with dependents
• First time filers
• Content creators and gig workers

Your niche helps you get specific with your content, messaging, services, and marketing. And choosing a niche does NOT mean you have to turn everybody else away. It simply means you’re becoming known for solving a particular problem for a particular group of people.

TODAY’S ACTION STEP

Complete this statement:
“I help [WHO] with [TAX PROBLEM] so they can [RESULT].”

Example: “I help self employed beauty professionals organize their business finances, understand their deductions, and confidently prepare for tax season.”

👇🏾 Drop YOUR niche statement in the comments. Don’t just tell me “I do taxes.” I want to know WHO you serve and WHAT you want to become known for.
